ART BASEL Recap: Miami Ironside’s Design Escape Talks Features World-Renowned DesignersLeft to Right- Alastair Gordon, Piero Lissoni, Patrizia Moroso, Ron Arad

Ofer Mizrahi, founder of art and design oasis Miami Ironside in Miami’s Upper Eastside, hosted two Design Escape talks during Art Basel Miami Beach 2014 featuring Belgrade Design Week founder and curator Jovan Jelovac; Swiss designer Tom Strala; LAUFEN’s director of marketing and products Marc Viardot; WSJ. Magazine contributing editor for architecture and design Alastair Gordon; Moroso creative director Patrizia Moroso; and Italian architect and designer Piero Lissoni.

 Highlights included the U.S. debut of the LAUFEN showroom in Miami Ironside, an exclusive look into LAUFEN’s revolutionary material for ceramic designs SaphirKeramik, and a first-look at the Ron Arad-designed The Watergate Chair for Washington, D.C.’s The Watergate Hotel—set to open in 2015 following an extensive renovation.
